Jang Dong Min, Yoo Se Yoon, and Yoo Sang Moo bow heads in apology at press con

Article: 'OngDalSaem' trio bow heads in apology at press conference

1. [+9,379, -1,012] Not his fan or anti but I feel like he was a time bomb waiting to explode with the way he talks. Even if not through 'Sixth Man', he would've exploded sooner or later.

2. [+7,548, -678] It's going to be hard for the three of them to be able to say anything on TV for a while...

3. [+6,694, -724] Did they really not think that their old controversial statements would get them into a scandal?

4. [+6,757, -1,348] They still have a future ahead of them. Just take this as an opportunity to further develop themselves and improve. Understand that celebrities are the establishment and use your influence to help those who need it with your promotions.

5. [+5,573, -3,347] Sigh, why are people being so harsh on them even after they apologized

6. [+1,837, -113] I'm surprised the scandal was even quiet for this long. They were surely statements that would've exploded sooner or later... Hopefully their apologies are genuine.

7. [+1,859, -392] "We didn't think it would hurt them"... That's scarier to think about

8. [+1,477, -128] I don't think Jang Dong Min's a trashy person... he's just catering to an audience that feels joy out of putting someone down, especially those weaker like women and retards. You can tell by internet comments already that people feel superior and joy out of putting others down... Please realize that you are all the precious son, daughter, brother, sister, and friend of someone.. Don't feel happiness in putting others own.

1. [+851, -60] Just don't repeat your mistake and make sure to reflect over it...

2. [+803, -81] Apology accepted~ don't do that next time!!

3. [+795, -134] When is Yewon going to open a press conference

4. [+42, -29] I'm willing to pay to listen to their broadcast. I like that they're not fake about themselves and they're hilarious to boot. It's refreshing as a listener.

5. [+41, -13] I never liked Jang Dong Min but this makes me like him. It shows that he's a genuine person on the inside and that he knows how to properly handle situations when in a crisis. I thought of him as a gagman who only knew how to tell jokes but as a human being, I can relate to him now. What he said was wrong but when you're with friends, you can say all sorts of things just being swept in the moment. I hope they apologize genuinely and continue to promote on broadcast with a more matured mindset.

  2. How many times has a woman idol apologizes and it is all oh my god they are faking it go reflect the double standard is there

  3. 3. [+795, -134] When is Yewon going to open a press conference

Rather than press conference, I hope she already apologise to Lee Tae Im...

  4. Good, I hope they work on their humor now

    ReplyDelete
  5. i hope from this incident, they learn how to control their mouth and choose their words wisely.

    ReplyDelete
  6. they're all too old to learn how to be thoughtful at their jobs now

Yes that it the worst part! they're apologizing but do they even know what they did wrong? They're apologizing because people were hurt by their comments but not for thinking women are some inferior human beings with no brains who are worth nothing if they're not virgins! Their opinion on women has not changed and I'm sure they drink together talking about how "those women are ruining everything again!"

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'll take that apology and hope that they were being sincere about it. Hopefully they really do learn from this and discontinue their misogynistic views.

    ReplyDelete
  10. ...comedians get a free pass most of the time because they're comedians

    ReplyDelete
  11. I really hope they do learnt their lessons. And I agree with the first comment. He's definitely way more dangerous on Park Myungsoo. You don't know what will come out from his mouth tbh.

And I hope they take this chance to learn about /equality/. Just because you're male doesn't mean you're more superior jfc.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sorry but.....no. They need to disappear for a bit now honestly, they're only sorry that people suddenly decided to call them on their words. People ripped Hani a new one for accidentally betting her mom, yet these guys-- the things they said-- just get "I accept your apology~" okay . . .

Him being shielded is more so than the double standard of the male/female celebrities. There are actually people who enjoy his jokes. That's why it took so long for his 'jokes' to become a scandal. I hope they do actually learn from this and become a better person.

p/s I'm not condoning his jokes either. Just pointing that out.

    ReplyDelete
  14. 2. [+803, -81] Apology accepted~ don't do that next time!!

why can't knetz be this nice and forgiving when it comes to female celebrities...

    5. [+5,573, -3,347] Sigh, why are people being so harsh on them even after they apologized

because they only apologized when they got caught lol

  15. 3. [+795, -134] When is Yewon going to open a press conference
Am I the only one who think that Yewon is being bitter about Lee Tae Im having a bed scene with Lee Min Ki??? Who knows she's secretly being a fangirl of Lee Min Ki

    ReplyDelete
  16. T-ara apologized too yet they're still being bitchy about it.. PFFFT

    ReplyDelete
  17. Idk I'm pretty sure they're only sorry they got caught.
They sure as hell didn't think anything was wrong with what they were saying while they said it.

But Wow at some of them forgiving quite fast...Compared to others who are still getting hated on after years:/

    ReplyDelete
  18. I really hope that this was a sincere apology... it seems like their career is not over but what they did is stil unacceptable

    ReplyDelete
  19. LOl at the people who want them to disappeared. They need to eat too. Geezzz Anyway maybe because I am from Murica, this is very trivial to me.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm dubious that their misogynistic views will change (esp Jang Dong Min ), but I'm sure they'll learn how to keep those views to themselves, which isn't really a win, but I'll guess it'll do.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yeah sure, You can apologize all you want, the thing is.. all of them know the real meaning of this apologize????????? sexist pigssss.

I am a woman but I quite agree with this. Sometimes they do it because of their audience. Some people make fun of others (entertainers, comedians) because they know that their audience likes it. Look at stand-up comedy, they always/usually make fun of others so that their audience laugh. Ugh I can't explain it properly but yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  23. can't read the hatersApril 28, 2015 at 12:54 PM

They were very disrespectful. I don't think it's something that people can forgive. It's their character and how in the world people can say that it's okay??

  24. its a rare thing where I saw more good comments comes from Nate and vice versa O.o

    ReplyDelete
  25. from now please be careful dongmin oppa, seyoon oppa and sangmoo oppa... lets learn something good from this case...wish you all become more more and more better person ahead^^fighting^^

    ReplyDelete
  26. It must have been so much easier back in the day when the internet wasn't as well utilized for calling people out.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The amount of women on this website, holy fuck. I see this shit every single day. WE GET IT. FEMALES ARE TREATED UNFAIRLY. OH SHIT WHAT ELSE IS NEW.

    ReplyDelete
  28. LOL look at all the "Oppa didn't mean it" comments. No request for reflection period? Knetz so petty only to women celeb/idols/less popular celeb. Look at them still bringing up radio star in every Kara's article while they're blaming others for not tolerating these comedian's attitude.

Knetz have to stop tolerating this kind of attitude just because they
like this particular comedian/celebrities. I hope this can be example
for other comedian/celebrities that this kind of jokes are not funny and
inappropriate. There are so many ways to create laugh without insulting
    anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You can't really compare an idol to an comedian or actress. Entertainers, especially comedians & MCs, are generally given more leniency because they're more respected and appreciated. And it's not as if these dudes have really got off easy....

    ReplyDelete
  30. Koreans on TV have a weird sense of humor

    ReplyDelete
  31. Female comedians get off easy too in SK. How can you compare this to idol cases LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not really the same thing but in a similar vein it reminds me of when Lee Guk Joo/Lee young Ja makes fun of their weights cause apparently that's what gag women are supposed to do but I cant shake the feeling that they themselves don't find it very funny

    ReplyDelete
  33. [+803, -81] Apology accepted~ don't do that next time!!

I was amazed how fast some people forgave...

What they said was truly disgusting, sorry. I dont understand how people think its funny to mock people in the first place. smh

    ReplyDelete
  34. If only someone said this during the T-ara scandal

    5. [+5,573, -3,347] Sigh, why are people being so harsh on them even after they apologized

    ReplyDelete
  35. people always wanna talk about kpop on this site like idols are on the same level as comedians. some of you act like female comedians don't still generally get away with doing blackface and groping idols and being sexually aggressive. people will bring it up but they mostly don't get in huge trouble with it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. seems like i'm missing lots of stuff. someone mind sum it up what did they do?

    ReplyDelete
  37. It'll always be new until that's fixed, feminist and all. The amount of men who doesn't get that. You don't get it at all.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Exactly what I thought, a woman will say something less horrible and she's done in an entertainment, a man does worse, he'll apologize and everything is fine, because he was just "being funny". Seriously. And a comment "he's just catering to an audience that feels joy out of putting someone down, especially those weaker like women and retards" is seriously disturbing. "WEAKER like WOMEN?" I'm seriously disgusted. If I'd ever meet that person I'd show him how much weaker I am.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't know why you're directing this aggressive comment to me, but I think you need to step off and re-read my comment.

    ReplyDelete
  40. they made fun of people with disabilities (one of them imitated them) and joked about inviting women they like over to their house and using date rape drugs on them

    ReplyDelete
  41. i was just adding to your comment. but alright.

    ReplyDelete
  42. In the words of our almighty bad gal riri, you're only sorry you got caught.

Hope they learn their lesson and be careful of their words in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "some of you act like" implies that you are including me in the group that you are criticizing. If that's not the case, then cool.

    ReplyDelete
  44. "some of you" meaning people on this site....?????????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  45. Soo true. They only sorry for that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm not going into semantics with you, if that wasn't your intent, then fine.

    ReplyDelete
  47. At least they admitted it and officially apologized.
Now, it's turn for someone hated by unnie

    ReplyDelete
  48. #ReadsOppaLeavesQuietly.... rme

    ReplyDelete
  49. Because of individuals like you women have to say it all the time, because you clearly don't understand how big of a deal it is. Oh, and sorry for being boring with that, I get we should get over racism too because your highness is tired of hearing it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. seungrikissedmexxApril 28, 2015 at 1:03 PM

Tsk knetz easily forgiving these shits. -_-

If this happens to idol or female actress, It would be a whole different case.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Lucky to born with dick in Korea!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh no no no not so easy knetz...now they have to reflect for a very long time as per knetz tradition.

    ReplyDelete
  53. at the end they got called out for their BS the same way yewon got called out, makes me believe in karma

    ReplyDelete
  54. And they are rarely that funny...
Most of the k-comdy shows i've seen are full of exaggerated loud laughs that just turns me off >~<

    ReplyDelete
  55. That's because it was men putting women and people with mental disabilities down, knowing how misogynistic and ignorant Koreans (not all of them obviously, but a big part of them) can be, I'm not even surprised...

    ReplyDelete
  56. LittlePorkChopCornerPocketApril 28, 2015 at 1:06 PM

You don't have to be a mean asshole in order to be funny.

    ReplyDelete
  57. They seem really sorry and it looks like they're reflecting of what they've done in the past. Hopefully they'll learn from them and not do it again.

    ReplyDelete
  58. wow that's probably the trashiest thing to say on public but good thing they officially apologized for it

    ReplyDelete
  59. so no need to push yourself too hard to watch them then.. just turn off your tv/laptop and the case closed^^

    ReplyDelete
  60. Is it just me or are they going really easy on these idiots?

    ReplyDelete
  61. ikr~ hopefully they're gonna take the time to reflect and repent and not just apologize for the sake of apologizing

    ReplyDelete
  62. Should train yourselves to be funny without words that would've hurt others.

Somehow I find this comment discusting expecially since they stated that women are weaker... And somehow they try to talk sence and it would have been but really their comments buts down women at the same time that they try to say to not put anyone down.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Tbh I cant talk much about that. I know few Koreans personally, but I have never had any problems with them. Very nice and educted people so far.
I dont have much knowledge about the society over there in general. I think it really depends on the person itself.
I think misogynistic and ignorant people are everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh thank you i didn't know how to get rid of them T^T thank you for saving my life <33

  66. Im laughing so hard

  67. But kim shin young didnt get off easy over the dog issue and the chu sarang one did she?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Not the same people commenting.
They will still get some hate comments. Hani too will keep having haters but there will always be more people that love her.

    ReplyDelete
  69. sound pretty ignorant yourselft

    ReplyDelete
  70. Meanwhile they're screaming "throw Bom in jail"
    The hypocrisy and double standards,smh.

    ReplyDelete
  71. two times out of most likely multiple other times she's done or said something offensive, surely. and it's not like she's out of work or been exiled.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wow look at those upvotes! Almost 30,000?!

    ReplyDelete
  73. This is random but I'm surprised people on nate seem to be more forgiving than those on naver.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Tbh no matter what they say and what the truth is, the damage is done. Just look at the upvotes.

    ReplyDelete
  75. it's because of people like you, privileged scum.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Why do celebs do this when they KNOW that they're gonna get hate for it???

    ReplyDelete
  77. and I doubt you're doing anything to fix it, stop sitting around twiddling your thumbs and waiting for someone to save you and go out there and do it yourself

    ReplyDelete
  78. [+9,379, -1,012] Not his fan or anti but I feel like he was a time bomb waiting to explode with the way he talks. Even if not through 'Sixth Man', he would've exploded sooner or later.

This. They said some pretty shitty things. They needed this apology sooner or later.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Even if they tell the truth, a lot of people won't believe then :(

    ReplyDelete
  80. Of couse when a woman tries to speak her feeling then she's a bitch. We all know that. It's common sense.

But im curious and want to know her side of story.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Of course blaming men for all your problems as usual. We all know that. It's common sense.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Netizens are so fast to forgive men. It's the opposite when a woman is involved.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Can somebody tell me what happened with the T-ara scandal? I always hear about it but I don't know the full story.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The difference between the k-netz comments here and the article about the comedians. Smh.

    ReplyDelete
  85. i understand ur sentiment, but please don't act like it is Koreans who are more misogynistic and ignorant than other groups of people, I see such oppressive statements everywhere on the internet, especially in my country (U.S.)

    ReplyDelete
  86. "Those weaker like women" 😑

    ReplyDelete
  87. yeah hopefully it's a genuine apology but it's hard to not think that they are just trying to save what is left of their careers.
but i agree on the fact that if they really learned something from this and do better in the future their apology should be accepted.
we should all hope that they become decent human beings after that rather than wanting them to end up ostracized or else what's the point of bashing k-nets when they drag down our biases without giving them a second chance if we act the same way anyway ?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Lmao. Why do you automatically assume she's waiting for someone to save her? That go to insult/comeback shows how messed up some people's image of women are.

    ReplyDelete
  89. [+26, -56] I think Hwayoung is the biggest b*tch in the scandal and the other members were just idiots who let it all happen. Hwayoung played the media well and T-ara's agency didn't handle the scandal very well at all. They all deserve what happened to them.

Translation : I know who's the real criminal is,but you were just normal girls who didn't know how to defend yourself well.So I'm gonna hates you as well.

Here's what's funny, you all knew that Hwayoung was not bullied, but knetz never once pressure her to admit it.Instead they just kept hating T-Ara. I'm so sorry that you're a girl's group.Otherwise all those girls fans out there would have killed to defends you.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Tbh it could have been avoided a little better if the T-ara members didn't give off the whole "Look at me I seem a little fake when I try to be nice and cute and innocent!!!" thing they had going on for them.

    ReplyDelete
  91. wow look at those upvotes lol
t-ara could've been so big, they really had good songs...

    ReplyDelete
  92. I agree with you, except I think "reflection period" is stupid, but. I think the reason why comedian seems to have it easier than idols is that comedian job's is making people laugh, while an idol's job is being a model for youth. The fact that a comedian gets in this kind of scandal means that he tried to do his work, but he did it really really really badly, because there's seriously nothing fun about that. An idol getting in this kind of scandal is just impossible. They are supposed to be model. Their job isn't even to be fun, just likeable and "perfect".

    ReplyDelete
  93. AJ did a good article about it.

    ReplyDelete
  95. from their singular comment on feminism, you know exactly what they're doing with their life? if they're involved in activism, or do research on it? you really know all that? you fucking creep.

    ReplyDelete
  96. That's what she's doing by commenting, she's raising awareness and pointing out misogyny in society. I don't get what exactly you want her to do? I mean, it's not like it's easy to start a radical movement, there's nothing wrong with starting conversations in the meantime.

    ReplyDelete
  97. even a girl thinks another girl is a bitch. What does that have to do with men?

    ReplyDelete
  98. I just want the best for T-ara, god it's so damn unfair how that scandal came out. They were truly living their glory days back in early 2012 :(

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'm really sad reading this comments about my favourite girl group.
    Where is the evidence?

    Move on netizens!!!

    http://media.giphy.com/media/k4ykFevY03arC/giphy.gif

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think they should just stay quiet about it if they (and their company) didn't do anything about it sooner. It won't help bringing it up again /: Especially knowing netizens' unforgetting and unforgiving mindset.

    ReplyDelete
  101. No but shes still getting a lot of hate whenever articles are written about her. She has it bad too, but not as bad as these guys

    ReplyDelete
  102. no, my image of women is that they are just as capable as men so forgive me If I have little sympathy for your pathetic plight

    ReplyDelete
  103. why? they're older than me...what shld i called them then?

    ReplyDelete
  104. you can't say she was not bullied, there's no smoke without fire...

    ReplyDelete
  105. Damage is done and it's all thanks to their management. Every chance that their company had to subdue the hate; they made it worse.

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's impossible to please everybody.... she apologizes -> she is "putting on a show"... she stays quite --> gets hateful comments anyway tsk

    ReplyDelete
  107. and read this as well http://hyotheleader.tumblr.com/post/30319546274/rumor-vs-fact-t-ara-bullying-case-full

    ReplyDelete
  108. How is it that they are forgiven so easily? When the things they did are way worse than whatever Baekyun, T-ara, etc did?
Those three may be bowing their heads, but their heart will remain the same. Truly mockable that such vile statements were forgiven.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Doesn't this mean that they're still relevant?

    ReplyDelete
  110. you're always welcome^^

    ReplyDelete
  111. 5. [+5,573, -3,347] Sigh, why are people being so harsh on them even after they apologized

Then why are you guys being harsh on T-ara even after they apologized? lol

    ReplyDelete
  112. people want t ara to explain.??

-t ara already done that after few days of rumors, but did anyone believe it,no-

people want t ara so apoligize??
    - t ara already does that in 2013,but did anyone care about it,no-

people want t ara to reflect??
    - t ara didn't do anything wrong, just because people assume they does it doesn't means that they must do it,but did people will stop hating if they reflect,no-

    ReplyDelete
  113. I feel bad for them. Honestly, their company is the worst when it comes to PR and their company are the ones that ruined the group. It was immature of the members for bringing the issue onto social media but their company kicking out hwayoung immediately was the worst decision ever.

    ReplyDelete
  114. You said "Stop waiting for someone to save you!"

It's like saying to a woman "Get out of the kitchen and fight for a fair wage!!" I get what you're saying but it's the blatant unawareness of sexism in the statement that is funny as hell. It's poetically ironic.

Tldr: Majority of women don't work in the kitchen. Majority of women don't wait for saviors.

    ReplyDelete
  115. This is so unfair
They were at the top between the girl groups back then :(

    ReplyDelete
  116. I've long since accepted the difference in treatment between idols and other celebrities though someone is gonna argue with me that it's more gender but hey the world is shit.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Thank you for your attention, k-netz. Please look forward to her solo~<3

    ReplyDelete
  118. It's been like 3 years since the scandal, and over 30,000 people still care. 7 more years eunjung! wait with that strong determination of yours <3

    ReplyDelete
  119. 4. [+11,822, -1,314] Is she trying to copy Yewon tsk tsk

Exactly how I feel about this situation, except T-ara isn't Yewon, it's Hwayoung.

Look how easily the public was persuaded by Yewon that the other girl was some psycho bitch. BUT, not even a week later evidence surfaced showing the person running around as the victim in the situation is actually the person who caused it all to happen.

I don't believe any of them are innocent per say, but Hwayoung NEVER once said she was bullied. She left it all up to interpretation, which to me is fishy as fuck. They may not have had the best relationship, but the way she let T-ara fall instead of coming out and clarifying what happened is repulsive. I don't understand how anyone can hate T-ara but support her.

Hwayoung is the Yewon. Someone who sees an opportunity to get public sympathy and takes full advantage of it despite knowing damn well the public's view on the situation is far from the actual situation

    ReplyDelete
  120. I doubt you have any education of this matter, shut the fuck up.

    ReplyDelete
  121. ooohh a badass

    ReplyDelete
  122. The fire was Hwayoung, and the smoke was those edited clips.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Or that ppl have quite the passion with their hatred. That's dedication for a group they supposedly don't like.

  126. This is seriously messed up, clearly somethings were fabricated and these young women have been punished for their bullying days (made up or not), I don't see why they can't do what they have always done as freely as before, especially with these comedians being let off the hook.
First of, they were young and foolish, still are,, these comedians however were much older and experienced when they said and did what they did say and do,, not fair that they get the easy way out,, is it because they are males? Or because they aren't idols? Or because people really wanted to see T-ara suffer and crumple in public?? Whatever the case, we all make mistakes and for some mistakes, when we apologise, we deserve a second chance,, T-ara certainly does, I hope netizens can move on and stop being so hateful all the damn time.

i agree with that, she was just being very ambiguous plus she said "some" things were untrue, which means that some were true... it's like if she was digging another hole.
honestly she should have stayed quiet.
but it has been almost 3 years now, time to let it go.

  128. +26, -56] I think Hwayoung is the biggest b*tch in the scandal and the other members were just idiots who let it all happen. Hwayoung played the media well and T-ara's agency didn't handle the scandal very well at all. They all deserve what happened to them.

it's difficult to find knetz that are not double standard.Anyway from this scandal t ara received a good karma......

  130. Absolutely terrible management by T-ARA's label. For one, letting beef get to twitter in 2012, and for second, somehow letting T-ARA take full blame for everything the next few years, with seemingly no damage control efforts at all.

    ReplyDelete
  131. To be honest all "evidence" people brought up were gifs and videos taken out of context, and rumors. Didn't Hwayoung say she hadn't been bullied also? I remember her saying something like that in an interview, correct me if I'm wrong.

just because I refuse to pity you doesn't mean I'm unaware.

i feel like even if all the fake evidence was proven wrong and if hwayoung said she wasn't bullied every chance she got, ppl would still hate them

  139. [+1,143, -42] If there's something that's unfair, she should just say so instead of saying ambiguous things and beating around the bush. In a world as fast paced as ours, how does she believe that people are still going to care in 10 years? She's obviously staying quiet because she has nothing to be confident about. Stop mentioning this at all if you're not going to come out with the truth.

The only 'crime' T-ara committed was being immature and taking things to Twitter for which they did apologize for. They posted a handwritten letter and everything. They got into a fight, as most people living in close quarters do. They didn't bully anyone so what the hell is there to prove? They said what needed to be said. People need to move the hell on and stop acting as if they murdered someone.

  141. Can't tell if the difference between T-ara's treatment and the "comedians" on the other article is because they're idols or because they're women? Regardless, if T-ara have apologised we should just move on. No one will ever know the real truth, we have to just assume that the middle ground is correct and move on. I think that T-ara should be allowed to continue to promote without negative comments and that Hwayoung should be allowed to act and flourish in her career.

  143. 6. [+3,622, -228] Would've been better if they just admitted it off the bat and said they'd reflect.

If u didnt do anything, will u even admit it? Its like ppl accusing u, and will u admit that u are wrong?
